⏺ 12:15 – 1:15 CET – The Power of Visual Knowing and Visible Thinking for Project Management Professionals

In a business context, as in a project management context, words are wonderful tools, but they can be enhanced by adding the power of visualization. Project team interactions and productivity can be greatly enhanced. Various parts of the project management lifecycle can be more productive if supported by visualization: from strategy definition and presentation to work organization, progress reporting or stakeholder management. Visualization has been shown to be powerful for problem solving, effective and efficient meeting management, creative ideation session, and lessons learned. We can choose not to read, but it is much harder to choose not to see. Project professionals could expand their mode of expression with visual knowledge and visible sharing, using a design thinking mindset for their daily work. Not a negligible skill to learn in the generative AI era as we suffer from infobesity leading to unprecedented cognitive overload. Visualization is becoming a superpower that should be democratized to help address the many competing attention challenges of our time. The session will explain why and how visual knowing and visible thinking can be so helpful.
